Catalog description

This course prepares students to plan, manage, and deliver successful system development projects, with a focus on both traditional enterprise information systems and AI-enhanced applications. Anchored in the Project Management Institute's PMBOK Guide, students will learn core project management principles while exploring how AI technologies are transforming project planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. Through hands-on projects and real-world case studies, students will apply project management methodologies and leverage AI-powered tools to improve forecasting, automate workflows, optimize schedules, and manage risk. The course emphasizes ethical and professional conduct and prepares students for micro-credentials in AI-enhanced project management. Prerequisite(s): MIS 201 or permission of department chair/program director.
