Introduction to Global Affairs

Catalog description

This course is a wide-ranging introduction to the core principles of international and global affairs from a global social justice perspective. The course surveys a variety of global topics such as: international organizations and law, transnational corporations and the global economy, immigration and refugees, world environmental concerns, world culture, war and peace, nationalism and fundamentalism in the global world, and the antiglobalization movement. Students will be engaged in debates regarding current global issues, global challenges, and possible solutions.
