Environmental Chemistry

Catalog description

New course description and pre-req: The focus of this course is on understanding the underlying chemical principles and reactions of natural systems and anthropogenic compounds in the environment. Topics such as chemistry of the atmosphere, aqueous media, pollutants and energy sources will be covered. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of environmental issues, the course will include social, economic, and political considerations.
