Data Structures & Algorithms

Catalog description

This course studies data structures and algorithm analysis. Topics include data structures such as list, trees, stackes, queues, heaps, hash tables and graphs, and algorithms for searching and sorting, and simple graph algorithms. Students will also learn how to formally analyze algorithms. The emphasis will be on applying data structures to design and implement efficient algorithms. Students will use a high-level programming language to complete several intermediate sized programming projects to reinforce concepts.
