Catalog description

This course looks at issues in human interaction with environment and resources from a cross-cultural perspective. Anthropological approaches to environment will be presented along with ethnographic examples from various types of societies around the world. Assignments will encourage students to apply this knowledge both to their own community and to environmental concerns on a global scale. FFulfills Core requirement(s): Diversity (DIV) and Cultural Elective (CE).
