Personalized Coaching for Academic Reading and Writing

Catalog description

This noncredit course provides whole group, small group, and individualized support with writing and reading assignments. Students meet regularly with an English 215 instructor during prescribed hours as well as with English tutors, on a customized learning plan. Student hours spent with Reading and Writing faculty tutors and in Smart Shops also count towards the variable hours of this course. Students can choose to focus on developing their skills in academic reading, composition, research, sentence-level writing skills, or some combination of these. Students may repeat this course until mastery of the skills is met. This course is intended to help students be successful in college-level credit coursework and must be taken concurrently with at least one credit course. Prerequisite: ENGL C1000 (May be taken concurrently).
