Catalog description

This course provides the knowledge and skills needed to operate and perform preventative maintenance on a pumping apparatus. Topics include routine test, inspections, and serving functions; producing, hand, master and foam fire streams; relay pump operations; and supplying water to fire sprinkler and standpipe systems. 18 hours of lecture, 27 hours of lab. Fire Service Technology 173 Fire Service Technology Enrollment Limitation: Must possess a valid California driver's license with a Class C firefighter endorsement.
