Introduction to Film Editing

Catalog description

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of digital editing for short films and videos. Students will learn about the history of film and video editing, important theories for analyzing editing, and various approaches to and styles of editing. Students will also learn about and practice using computers to edit film and video based on key digital editing concepts and technical elements. 36 hours lecture, 54 hours laboratory.
