Catalog description
This course is designed as a continuum of learning intended to build on the Traffic Control and Flagging courses and give the participant a thorough understanding of the responsibilities of a traffic control worker. Construction Craft Laborers will receive both classroom (lecture, audio- visual, discussion) and intensive hands-on training and practice in the proper procedure of traffic control. Topics covered are lane closures on freeways, expressways, and public roads with a focus on roadside safety. Title 8 Subchapter 4 Article 11 ss1598 -Traffic Control for Public Streets and Highway. 18 hours lecture. Enrollment Limitation: Admission to this course is limited to apprentices registered with the state of California Department of Apprenticeship Standards. Students must first be accepted into a registered LiUNA! Northern California District Council of Laborers apprenticeship.
