Catalog description
In this course, students will build advanced Gass Tungsten Arc Weldiing (GTAW) (TIG) welding skills by working hands-on with ferrous and nonferrous materials in all positions. Students will learn to set up equipment, troubleshoot performance issues, and apply welding techniques that align with American Welding Society (AWS) standards. Throughout the course, students will inspect weld quality, prepare materials for destructive testing, and evaluate weldments for compliance with industry expectations. By the end of the course, students will demonstrate competency in the ability to produce welds that meet professional AWS performance criteria.
