Catalog description

Students differentiate between articulation and phonological disorders and the specific treatment approaches for each. They explore evidence-based practices for establishing sound targets, utilizing demonstrations, detailed descriptions, phonetic placement cues, and sound-shaping techniques. Additionally, they demonstrate cueing skills and target-specific positive reinforcement or corrective feedback when providing treatment. Prerequisite: Completion of SLPA 1506 or instructor consent.
