Catalog description

This course offers a comprehensive theoretical and descriptive framework for studying language development. Students will examine the fundamental stages and processes involved in language acquisition, focusing on the key components of the language system: phonology, morphology, semantics, syntax, and pragmatics. Additionally, the course explores language diversity, including social, cultural, and socioeconomic factors and bilingualism. Prerequisite: Instructor approval.
