Elementary Linear Algebra

Catalog description

Students study matrices, systems of linear equations, linear transformations, and vectors spaces. Successful students acquire knowledge and develop skills which enable them to perform matrix operations, solve systems of equations using Gaussian elimination, find a basis for a given set of vectors, orthogonalize a matrix, find the eigenvalues and eigenvectors for a given matrix, and solve applications.
