Catalog description

This course covers the theory, operation, and service of modern diesel engine management systems.  Students will learn about diesel fuel delivery systems, computerized engine controls, diesel engine emissions controls, and the process of diagnostics and troubleshooting utilizing modern electronic test equipment and scan tools.  Students will perform tasks related to engine brakes, emissions controls, driveability and electronic engine controls. Students work towards completing ASE task list for Truck Service Technology (TST) for Engines.
