Catalog description
This course introduces students to general electrical/electronic systems and fundamental electrical theories and procedures is it pertains to the diesel industry. Students will identify methods to locate and interpret wiring diagrams, and explore diagnostic methods and repair procedures for individual electrical circuits on vehicles. This course will also cover the electrical systems as it relates to batteries, starting systems, charging systems, lighting systems, instrument cluster and driver information systems, cab and chassis electrical systems and an introduction to electrified vehicle high voltage safety. Students work towards completing ASE task list for Truck Service Technology (TST) for Electrical/Electronic Systems.
