Intro to Mass Media

Catalog description

Students examine the historical, economic, social, regulatory, and ethical implications that shape modern media content.  Students will explore the function of media and its impact on diverse populations. Students will critique media for accuracy and ethics using modern fact-checking tools and established media theory models as well as explore career opportunities in media field. Prerequisites: Completion of ENGL 0810 or equivalent placement test score.
