Catalog description

This course provides students with an introduction to the various operating systems of a modern automobile and typical procedures in an automotive service shop environment including shop safety, proper tool and equipment usage in an automotive application, and the use of digital automotive service information.  Students gain and demonstrate knowledge and skills to understand the automotive service industry and to perform basic vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, service procedures, and repairs as required.  Students may work on the ASE Education Foundation task list for areas A1-A8.
