Catalog description

Students will learn how to use digital cameras, compose and edit photographs, and use photo editing software. The class will begin with an investigation of photography techniques before moving through a series of assignments designed to create an understanding of how to compose a body of photographic work around a specific theme or concept. Lectures will focus on the concepts, history, and ethical implications of photography while regular critiques will guide students towards creating a final portfolio of images.
