Catalog description

Students acquire introductory knowledge of the major arts of the world from pre-history to medieval, including pre-historic European, ancient Near Eastern, Egyptian, Aegean, Greek, Etruscan, Roman, African, Chinese, Japanese, Indian art and art from the Americas, through the Middle Ages. Also included is art from the Byzantine, Medieval, Romanesque, Gothic, Judaic, Christian, and Islamic movements. Prerequisite: Completion of ENGL 0810 or equivalent placement test score.
