Clinical Teaching

Catalog description

Graduate students in the ACP/MAT program will complete one semester of clinical teaching under the mentorship of a cooperating teacher certified in the same certification class and content area. Candidates will be assigned a field supervisor and spend a minimum of 490 hours in a K-12 classroom practicing pedagogical skills and professional practices. Candidates will be expected to prepare and teach lessons, assess student learning, attend professional development, and all other duties required of an educator.
