Catalog description

This course introduces students to the concepts of Business Analytics to help professionals make informed decisions based on data. Besides learning Excel functions, students will use data visualization and data mining techniques to discover hidden trends in data sets. Students will also use the latest predictive analytical tools from SAP to anticipate future behavior that will help make better managerial decisions. As a doctoral-level course, the term paper is expected to result from practice-oriented original research. It should encompass problem definition, situational analysis, data collection and analysis as necessary, and the development of a recommended solution or policy.
