Catalog description

This course provides students with essential professional development and leadership skills to excel in public health and healthcare administration. Students will explore career pathways, enhance their understanding of professionalism, ethics, and communication, and prepare for the job market through resume building, interviewing strategies, and networking. Emphasis is placed on internship preparation, including site selection, negotiation of responsibilities, and alignment with the Areas of Responsibility for Health Education Specialists. Through hands-on activities and self-reflection, students will cultivate a personal leadership philosophy and develop the skills to effectively manage and lead public health education and promotion programs.
