Catalog description
This course provides an advanced examination of probation, parole, and pretrial services as critical components of the criminal justice system. Emphasis is placed on evidence based practices, legal standards, risk and needs assessment, officer discretion, ethical decision making, and professional report writing. Students will engage in applied learning through realistic case scenarios and the completion of professional style community supervision reports.
