Catalog description

This course is an interdisciplinary study of Latin America focusing on the history, culture, and civilizations of Spanish-speaking countries. Students will study pre-Colombian civilizations, the Spanish conquest, independence, and revolution in order to build a foundation to understand modern-day Latin American society. NOTE: Students taking online courses must log in during the first week of the course or make special arrangements with the instructor to avoid being dropped.
