Elementary Spanish I

This beginning course is an introduction to the speaking, reading, writing, and understanding of elementary Spanish. Elementary grammatical structures as used in the context of oral communication will be introduced and studied, which will aid the student in developing effective, competent, and grammatically correct communication skills. This course contains a cultural component that will allow the student to develop an appreciation of the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. NOTE: Students taking online courses must log in during the first week of the course or make special arrangements with the instructor to avoid being dropped.
