Lifespan Development

Catalog description
This course is designed to provide an overview of human development from conception through the lifespan. The emphasis will be on the practical application of developmental principles. Theories and research of physical, cognitive, personality, and social development are examined, as well as attention to developmental problems. Advisory: ENGLC1000 - Academic Reading and Writing Eligibility for college-level composition (ENGLC1000 or ENG101) as determined by college assessment or other appropriate method. NOTE: Students taking online courses must log in during the first week of the course or make special arrangements with the instructor to avoid being dropped. WINTER 2026: NOTE: This class is partially online/partially in class on campus. Students will be using a computer to assist with the learning process and are expected to attend class 2 hours per week with the remaining 2 hours per week completed online.
