Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the study of personality in the field of psychology. The course will provide an overview of the major personality theories, beginning with psychoanalytical, biological, and continuing on to more recent approaches from humanistic, social learning and cognitive. This course will also provide an introduction to contemporary personality research methods, including the development of measures of personality and their use in assessment. ADVISORY: ENGLC1000 or ENG 101 and PSY 101 or PSYC C1000 with a grade of "C" or better or equivalent. NOTE: Students taking online courses must log in during the first week of the course or make special arrangements with the instructor to avoid being dropped.
