Catalog description

This course examines numerous components of world history spanning the first hominids that inhabited Africa through the people living in the Americas around 1000 C.E. Organized by region, it addresses different themes such cultural norms, commercial activity, social arrangements, political institutions, and organized religion. ADVISORY: ENGLC1000 or ENG 101 and ENGLC1001 or ENG 103 with a "C" or better or equivalent. NOTE: Students taking online courses must log in during the first week of the course or make special arrangements with the instructor to avoid being dropped.
