Catalog description

This course examines many components of U.S. history spanning the lives of native peoples who originally inhabited the Americas through the policies of President James Madison's administration. Some topics of particular interest are colonization, trade, slavery, revolution, and democracy. ADVISORY: ENGLC1000 or ENG 101 and ENG 103 with a "C" or better or equivalent. NOTE: Students taking online courses must log in during the first week of the course or make special arrangements with the instructor to avoid being dropped.
