Critical Thinking and Writing

Catalog description
This course is designed to develop critical thinking, reading, and writing skills beyond the level achieved in ENG 101. The course will focus on the development of logical reasoning and analytical and argumentative writing skills. The course will conclude with the writing of a substantial revised research paper. PREVIOUSLY ENG103 PREREQUISITE: College-level composition (ENGL C1000/C-ID ENGL 100) or equivalent. SUMMER 2026: NOTE: TSection 01 is partially online/partially in class on campus. Students will be using a computer to assist with the learning process and are expected to attend class 54 hours with an additional 6 hours completed online.
