Parenting: Child and Family

Catalog description

This course is designed for, but not limited to, parents or caregivers of children ages two to five enrolled in Tahoe Parents Nursery School. Students will have the opportunity to discuss, explore and learn more about how to be an effective parent/caregiver. Topics will include guidance and discipline, communication, developmental stages, and health and safety issues relating to young children. SPRING 2026: NOTE: This section is partially online/partially in class on campus. Students will be using a computerto assist with the learning process and are expected to attend class 1.3 hours per week with an additional 4 hours completed online. FALL 2026: NOTE: This section is partially online/partially in class on campus. Students will be using a computerto assist with the learning process and are expected to attend class 12 hours with an additional 6 hours completed online.
