Catalog description
This course is the first quarter of a one-year course in chemistry intended for majors in the natural sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, biology, physics, pre-medicine), mathematics, or engineering. Topics include foundations of chemistry, atomic structure, nuclear chemistry, stoichiometry, types of chemical reactions, gases, and thermochemistry. NOTE: Prerequisites may be waived through the registration process.
