Catalog description
This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of personal finance and the tools necessary to help them make better informed personal financial decisions. These decisions relate to spending, saving, borrowing, and investing by applying quantitative reasoning concepts to solve problems. Course topics include goal setting, the financial planning process, budgeting, cash flow, debt consolidation, investing, risk assessment, and retirement planning. NOTE: Students taking online courses must log in during the first week of the course or make special arrangements with the instructor to avoid being dropped.
