Integration of Science and Technology in the Elementary School ((3 Credits ))

Catalog description

This course will utilize research-based reading and writing strategies to teach science concepts within the Kindergarten through sixth grade classroom. Candidates will utilize current Florida state science standards to create developmentally appropriate lessons, implement strategies with varying aspects of rigor and complexity, manage the science classroom environment, and assess student learning to determine mastery and identify gaps and/or misconceptions. Technology will be integrated into the learning environment throughout investigations and lesson implementations. Students will also participate in clinical experience within this course.
