Nursing Care of Vulnerable Populations ((3 Credits ))

Catalog description

This course incorporates material from a multitude of cultures, illustrating at risk groups that are considered vulnerable populations. Key concepts, such as identification of at risk populations will be discussed and will provide a basic structure for nursing care of the vulnerable population. The relevance of nursing theories to vulnerable populations, nursing research showing the kinds of phenomena nurses study, and many ideologies related to advocacy of vulnerable individuals and/or populations will be included in this course.
