Catalog description

Applied Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics and Surgery is a comprehensive course that demonstrates the relationship of biomechanical imbalances/pathomechanics to the development of a wide range of foot/ankle pathologies. The course builds on the information presented in Clinical Podiatric Medicine I, Clinical Podiatric Medicine II, and Fundamentals of Biomechanics Courses. The course is segmented into specific topical areas including Principles of Podiatric Surgery, Management and Documentation of the Surgical Patient, Forefoot Conditions, Rearfoot and Ankle Conditions, Soft Tissue Conditions, the Diabetic Foot, Pediatric Deformities, and Infection Management. Applied Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics and Surgery is condition focused rather than procedure-based and provides students with the knowledge needed for clinical rotations.
