Catalog description

This is a comprehensive course that encompasses lower extremity anatomy and the fundamentals of musculoskeletal imaging of the foot/ankle. Identification of anatomic structures will be correlated with the basic principles of radiographic imaging and to more sophisticated testing involving nuclear medicine (Bone and WBC scans), CT imaging and MRI. Students will become experts in identification of lower extremity structures as well as reading and presenting normal and pathologic conditions to form differential diagnosis and identifying the imaging modality to obtain best patient outcomes whether the treatment is for conservative therapy or surgical management.
