Catalog description
Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. This course introduces the students to the concepts of pediatric and adolescent growth and development; disease causality and prevention in a pediatric patient; child psychology and behavioral management; and restorative techniques and modalities adapted to the pediatric patient. In addition, the course also focuses on the care of special needs patients, such as people with cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and autism.
