Catalog description

This synchronous lecture-based course introduces the fundamental mechanisms of immunity and the importance of the immune system in control of human disease. The objectives of this course are (1) to describe the cells of the immune system and their functions, (2) to understand the interplay among immune cells in stimulating or suppressing immune responses, and (3) to understand how failure of immunity leads to the development of human diseases.
