Catalog description

Physiology is a synchronous lecture-based course that provides an understanding how cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems function together to create one organism. Students will acquire a core scientific knowledge about humans as a physiological entity and will develop skills on how to apply basic physiological principles into the appropriate clinical context. The course lays the basis for understanding diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Students will be provided with an understanding as to how physiological research improves diagnoses and treatments of diseases.
