Clinical Human Gross Anatomy

Human Gross Anatomy is a faculty-directed, lecture- and laboratory-based course designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of the structure and organization of the human body, with emphasis on concepts essential to dental education. The course promotes a systematic exploration of regional and systemic anatomy, highlighting clinically relevant structure–function relationships and the interdependence of anatomical systems. Learning is supported through didactic instruction, laboratory- based activities, and the use of digital and computer-based anatomical resources to visualize structures and spatial relationships. By integrating anatomical knowledge with clinical context, this course aims to prepare students for subsequent coursework and the application of anatomy in patient care and clinical decision-making. CCC COURSE SERIES (CCC 1001-1005) The Purpose of the Comprehensive Care Clinic course series is to support the mission of the School of Dental Medicine as it applies to the clinical education of the students. Specifically, students receive instruction and direction in the application of knowledge, skills, and the principles of care to the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment, and management of patients. In addition, students are presented with the concepts and principles of Evidence Based Dentistry as they apply to the clinical practice of dentistry.
