Loss and Grief

Catalog description

This course investigates the processes of attachment, loss, and grieving. The course explores loss, in life and in preparation for death, and addresses both acceptable and disenfranchised loss and grief. Theories of bereavement and basic counseling and companioning skills are presented. This course is offered in a rotating fashion with other Social Work electives.
