Biological Research

Catalog description

Students learn how to read and analyze peer-reviewed scientific articles, critically discuss experimental procedures and results, making logical and comprehensive conclusions on selected topics that each student is interested in studying. Students will be introduced to a structure of a research proposal and to proposal writing. Students will examine the impacts of the life sciences research through the lens of an individual, a scientist, and a citizen of a broader community. A culminating assignment will be to construct and defend a life science research proposal on a topic of scientific interest.
