Catalog description
Show and equipment safety. This course covers ASME open root pipe welding in the 5G position using the SMAW process. This course will cover cellulose based electrodes and low hydrogen electrodes in the uphill progression. ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section IX rules and acceptance criteria will be used in this course. Two hours lecture/discussion and four hours lab a week.
