Fundamentals of Nursing

Catalog description
Designed to develop nursing and communication skills to enable the student to administer care to adult clients within the scope of the beginning nurse. Introduces fundamental concepts of nursing, including the nursing process and the promotion of wellness and health maintenance through patient education. Concurrent clinical and laboratory experience is designed to give the student the opportunity to utilize the nursing process and develop fundamental level expertise in nursing skills.Lecture: Four and a half hours (4.5) of lecture/discussion per week. Lab: Three and a half hours (3.5) of lab per week. Clinical: Four hours (4) of clinical per week.
