Basic Nurse Assistant Training

Catalog description
Designed for students interested in working in long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and hospitals. This course includes 135 hours of instruction, 95 hours of theory and laboratory, and 40 hours clinical experience. Approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Five hours lecture/discussion and four hours lab a week. Contact Basic Nurse Assistant (BNA) Coordinator for information.

There will be a mandatory orientation on Tuesday September 8th at 10:00am. We will use this time to collect your documents such as paperwork, SSN card, and photo ID. Please arrive on time and bring your documentations. Please check your kish email for a welcome email with details. This course will have hybrid learning components. This means students will be responsible for reviewing content posted online in D2L and completing assignments by a specified deadline. The instructor for the course will specify when hybrid learning and assignments will occur on the first day of class so students can plan accordingly.Kishwaukee College Placement testing is required. Student is responsible for course tuition as well as required books, supplies, uniform nurse aide competency test and the cost of any required immunizations. You will need your American Heart Association CPR card before the start of class. It is required. Clinical at Lincolnshire tentatively scheduled for 1pm-9pm Thursdays beginning October 22nd. All clinical dates and times are subject to change based on instructor and clinical site availability.
