Catalog description
This course will start by covering topics that include the medical and legal aspects in health care, the physician/ patient/medical assistant relationship, the legal scope of medical assistants, professional and organizational ethics, and bioethical issues. This course includes the study of the fundamental principles related to human relations, self-improvement, professional appearance and attitudes, limitations, and behaviors. Principles of individualized client care and etiquette of the medical practice are emphasized. Two hours of lecture/discussion per week.
