Catalog description
A continuation of ENG 103. This course increases awareness of the writing process; provides invention, organization, and revision strategies; stresses a variety of uses for writing; emphasizes critical skills in reading and writing; and develops reasoning and argumentation skills. Research writing amounting to 2,500 words minimum is a requirement in this course. Three hours lecture/discussion a week. IAI: C1 901R

Synchronous courses happen online, but there are regularly scheduled class meetings just like face-to-face classes have. Everyone meets together online using a tool like Zoom or the D2L Virtual Classroom. Students and the instructor interact in the moment, and also communicate through email and discussion boards. Assignments, quizzes, and other activities are due on a weekly basis, just like in a face-to-face class.
