Catalog description
An introduction to the principles of thermal energy conversion; heat, work and the first law of thermodynamics; properties of pure substances; energy analysis of control volumes, steady state and steady flow processes; the second law of thermodynamics, entropy, and exergy; power and refrigeration cycles. Three hours lecture/discussion a week.
