The College Experience

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to empower first-year students to make a successful transition into college and to prepare for future academic and career success. This course introduces students to essential college skills, campus resources, and strategies for personal and academic growth. Students will explore college culture and expectations, develop effective study habits, set and achieve academic and career goals, and learn to manage time and stress. Students also will receive guidance in identifying career interests, researching pathways, and building a career readiness portfolio, including resume writing, cover letter development, and interview preparation.
